The legendary rock band KISS had to cancel several shows of its End of the Road farewell tour due to recent positive COVID-19 tests amid its band members — guitarist Paul Stanley and then Gene Simmons both tested positive.
On September 7, KISS announced that Simmons had been cleared and five shows have already been rescheduled. That same day, Gene’s gorgeous wife, actress Shannon Tweed Simmons, shared the close-up photo below.
The stunning blonde reports: “Woke up with a #shiner this morning. I had a cyst removed to be sent to pathology. I’ll let you know how that goes. But I thought since it was growing maybe I shouldn’t wait till it’s a golf ball! Ha!”
Shannon’s fans are showering her with “prayers for good test results!” And more than one were impressed with the stitches: “Dr. did an amazing job with the stitches, it will disappear” and “Great stitch job!” wrote another.
Gene and Shannon have been together for dozens of years and are close to celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary!
KISS fans are also praying for a speedy recovery for Paul Stanley who reports above: “REST!! Doctor’s orders so we can hit the road running on Sept. 9th. Staying clear of people for a few more days. Do I think my “freedom” ever includes jeopardizing other people’s health?… No, I don’t.”
And if you can’t make it to one of the KISS shows, you can always tune in to Gene Simmons’ Master Class, as advertised above.
