Season 14 of the reality TV show Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team is back and the competition is as tough as ever. Not only does this audition cycle mark the biggest returning class of veterans ever (nearly 30 are re-auditioning) but add to that a large number of professional dancers from other teams in the NFL and professional dancers from the NBA trying out too.
One of the stand-out NBA cheerleaders looking to cheer for the Cowboys is Kat, a gorgeous and vivacious 25-year-old from North Carolina. At the age of 19 she became a “Honey Bee” for the NBA Charlotte Hornets dance team. (Note: The Hornets are majority owned by Michael Jordan.)
On the premiere episode, Kat is referred to as a “fireball” who clearly “wants the job and she’s taking no prisoners.” Before it’s revealed that she’s made it to the semi-finals (with 100 other women), she tells the camera: “I can’t wait to put on that uniform and to put on my boots, and say ‘Look mom, I told you this dream could become a reality.”
