On the third night of auditions on America’s Got Talent Season 14, judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and newbies Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union meet violinist Tyler Butler-Figueroa. He plays many genres but prefers pop music. Tyler tends to cover songs including The Chainsmokers’ “Closer”, Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” and “Believer” by Imagine Dragons.
On the AGT stage, the 11-year-old street performer from Raleigh, North Carolina performs in a black suit with silver sneakers. He spent his two-week school break last year raising money to audition in Charlotte for America’s Got Talent.
Tyler’s mom/manager, Kisua Butler-Figueroa, is warning fans on social media to “have your tissues nearby too” as Tyler will talk about his battle with leukemia. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on NBC.
