In The Simpsons episode “Bart Vs. Itchy & Scratchy,” Krusty releases an all-female reboot of “Itchy and Scratchy,” so Bart and his crew of all-male friends decide to boycott the show. After Bart’s friends turn on him for laughing at the reboot, Bart joins a woke group of sixth-grade girls including pink-haired Carmen (Awkwafina, Crazy Rich Asians) who commit crimes against patriarchy. Erica with the orange mohawk and nose ring is voiced by Nicole Byer.
The comedic actress Nicole Byer is best known for her MTV series *Loosely Exactly Nicole (see link above) which she wrote loosely about her life, and which was picked up by Facebook Watch for Season 2. Byer is also recognized for her roles on Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Trudy Judy), Transparent (Jataun), and Angie Tribeca (Holly), among others. Fun fact: Byer made her TV debut in 2012 on an episode of 30 Rock as a Mo’Nique lookalike. Byer is also currently the host of the Netflix reality bake-off show Nailed It! with famous chocolatier Jacques Torres. The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8 pm on FOX.
