In the Single Parents episode “The Beast,” Will (Taran Killam) encourages Angie (Leighton Meester) to rediscover her passion for heavy metal music by taking a guitar class. Angie returns the favor by encouraging Will to get back in the field and cover the weather. Meanwhile, Douglas (6’8″ tall, three-time Emmy Award winner Brad Garrett) pursues his crush on “Big Red” with the help of Miggy (Jake Choi). Douglas first saw her while waiting for a cab outside an Italian restaurant. She stole his cab, leaned out the window and said, “That’s the way the cookie crumbles.” Douglas ran after the cab for eight blocks but “she got away.”
Big Red is portrayed by 5’9″ tall actress Rebecca Creskoff. The Ivy Leaguer (University of Pennsylvania) is known for her roles on Mad Men (Barbara Katz, SEE LINK ABOVE), Bates Motel (Christine Heldens), Hung (Lenore Bernard), Justified (Carol Johnson), Jonas (Sandy Lucas), Girlfriends (Jennifer Miller), Greetings from Tucson (Elizabeth Tiant), and The Practice (Dr. Jeannie Reynolds), among others. Single Parents airs Wednesdays at 9:30 pm on ABC, right after Modern Family and right before A Million Little Things.
