On Unexpected episode “Papa Was a Rolling Stone” (after the classic Temptations song), Chloe brings Ava home without Max, and McKayla delivers big news with Tim. Meanwhile, Emiley tries to make peace between her and Diego’s family. At a family graduation party, Emiley’s mom Bridget admits that she’s “still a little pissed off” because she “didn’t get to do anything with Emiley during her senior year.” She doesn’t blame Emiley for not having as much time for her because she has a newborn baby, but she does seem to blame Diego’s family for making Emiley “pick and choose” between her and them. Bridget says Diego’s mother Krista “took some moments that I will never get back.” Bridget tries to sound reasonable when she says she’s okay with sharing moments with Diego’s family but then says she’s “not allowed.”

Diego’s mom Krista says “I can see why she’s (Bridget) hurt.” But adds, “I didn’t ask for Bridget’s permission to take her daughter anywhere, I mean, Emiley is grown. And that’s hard for Bridget to accept, I believe.” The Unexpected airs Sundays at 10 pm on TLC, right after 90 Day Fiance.
