If you’re tuning into the Season 7 premiere of Chicago Fire and expect to see paramedic/firefighter Gabby Dawson (Monica Raymund), sorry, you’re going to be disappointed. At the end of Season 6, Dawson and her man Casey (Jesse Spencer) found out that pregnancy wasn’t an option for them. The news hit Dawson hard and made her re-consider her whole life. In the end, she decided to accept a disaster relief job in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.
Dawson may be rethinking life as she helps those affected by Maria. But actress Raymund’s new project isn’t in Puerto Rico — it’s P-Town on Starz, a crime drama. Her character, Jackie Quinones, is described as a lesbian National Marine Fisheries Service officer in Providence, Rhode Island (hence, the series title). She becomes obsessed with solving an opioid-related murder. Raymund describes the series as “very dark and suspenseful,” and said: “It’s an opportunity for me to get really gritty and dirty.” Chicago Fire airs Wednesdays at 9pm on NBC, right after Chicago Med, and right before Chicago P.D.
