On the second episode of Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell & Back, Ramsay’s “Hell On Wheels” travels to New Orleans to check out The Old Coffeepot Restaurant. After intense investigation and surveillance of the legendary Cajun restaurant in the French Quarter known for its breakfast and brunch, Ramsay and his team find a number of obstacles in the way of the restaurant’s success. Singing server Ms. Shirley is not one of them!
After the 24 hour turnaround, The Old Coffeepot reports that beloved Ms. Shirley and Ms. Gaye are still serving meals — but the menu has been shortened. Owner/executive chef Dustin Palmisano writes: “but we will have more specials and the food is the amazing food that this restaurant has had forever.” Don’t worry: Lost Bread (french toast) and Calas (dumplings) are still on the menu! Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell & Back airs Wednesdays at 9pm on FOX, right after MasterChef.
