The Season 1 finale episode of S.W.A.T., “Hoax,” a fake 911 call has Hondo (Shemar Moore) and the SWAT team chasing down a terrorist group that’s setting off bombs in local communities. Meanwhile, Jim Street’s (Alex Russell) relationship with his recently paroled mother, Karen (Sherilyn Fenn), is tested when his uncle shows up demanding the antique gold necklace hanging from her neck. Then Jim’s uncle explains why, saying it belonged to his mother and Karen is wearing it as “some sort of sick trophy after killing my brother.”
Jim Street’s uncle is portrayed by actor D.B. Sweeney. He’s known for his roles on Major Crimes (FBI Special Agent Morris), To Appomattox (James Longstreet), Two and a Half Men (Larry), Criminal Minds (U.S. Marshal Kassmeyer), and Jericho (John Goetz), among others. Sweeney is also recognized for his roles in the films Hear No Evil (Ben Kendall), Eight Men Out (Shoeless Joe Jackson, see link above), and The Cutting Edge as hockey player Doug Dorsey. S.W.A.T. airs Thursdays at 10pm on CBS, right after Life in Pieces.
