In the season finale of Roseanne, “Knee Drop,” Roseanne’s (Roseanne Barr) knee gets worse which forces Dan (John Goodman) to a make a tough decision about work. But good news comes sweeping into town when a storm hits Lanford. During the finale, the Connors run into Dean. (In the original Roseanne series, Dean, portrayed by David Allan Donah, was the guy Becky dated after she broke up with Mark.) In the Roseanne reboot, Dean is portrayed by French Stewart.

Actor French Stewart is known for his roles on Mom (Chef Rudy), NCIS (serial killer Paul Triff), The Middle (Principal Cameron), Secrets and Lies (John Patrick), 3rd Rock from the Sun (Harry Solomon), and The New WKRP in Cincinnati (Razor Dee), among others. Fun fact: In 2016, Stewart and Laurie Metcalf (Roseanne’s sister Jackie) were in the comedic one-act show Voice Lessons in Chicago. Roseanne airs Tuesdays at 8pm on ABC.
