In the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode “Mama,” an Alzheimer’s patient named Madeline Thomas claims she was raped in the assisted living home where she lives. Her daughter and the SVU team take her claim seriously — but her illness keeps her from remembering details and casts doubt on the case.
