On the Hawaii Five-0 episode “Ka hana a ka makua, o ka hana no ia a keiki (What Parents Will Do, Children Will Do),” Junior’s friend Cammy Lin (guest star Cindy Chu) is on the run after witnessing the murder of a former mob boss. At the memorial service, McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) pulls up a chair next to old man Jin Leung.
Jin Leung is portrayed by James Hong. The 89-year-old veteran actor has appeared on so many TV shows throughout his career, it’s difficult to choose which to feature. He launched his career as Barry Chan (#1 Son) in the 1950s crime series The New Adventures of Charlie Chan, played the maitre d’ at the Chinese restaurant on Seinfeld and The Coroner on The Blacklist. Hong is also well recognized for his roles in the films Chinatown, Airplane!, Blade Runner, and as the voice of Mr. Ping in the Kung Fu Panda movies. Hawaii Five-0 airs Fridays at 9pm on CBS, right after MacGyver and right before Blue Bloods.
