American bobsledder Elana Meyers Taylor is making her third appearance at the Winter Olympics in 2018. Meyers Taylor won an Olympic bronze medal at Vancouver (2010) and a silver medal at Sochi (2014). Now in Pyeongchang, South Korea, the 33-year-old from Georgia is going for the gold and thanking her sponsors along the way. They’re are many: Coca-Cola, Bridgestone, Deloitte, 24Hour Fitness, Comcast, and Procter & Gamble. Meyers Taylor is promoting the P&G hair care brand Pantene and its Gold Series.
During an interview with MomGenerations, Meyers Taylor said Pantene is “a brand that has given me strong, healthy hair.” And “how could you not love representing a brand with gold series in the name??? It’s like the Pantene Gold Series was made for me!” The Olympic champion goes on to break down her daily hair regimen. She says the morning of a race she flat irons her hair and then uses Pantene Gold Series hydrating butter crème and intense hydrating oil (see link above). Meyers Taylor says these two products in particular help her hair stay strong because “every time I take my helmet off my head, my hair gets damaged and caught in it.” She explains that doing her hair before a race is important because if she wears her hair natural (not flat ironed) her bobsled helmet fits differently than when its flat ironed, a favorable consistent fit. The 2018 Winter Olympics will broadcast the women’s bobsledding on Tuesday (Feb 20) and Wednesday (Feb 21) at 8pm on NBC.
