In the NCIS: New Orleans episode ‘The Accident,’ the NCIS team investigates when a clinical trial of brain implants in veterans is hacked. The doctor spearheading the trial is Doctor Anna Yoon, ex-wife of NCIS team member Patton Plame (Darryl “Chill” Mitchell). When NCIS Agent Pride (Scott Bakula) shows up at the New Orleans Bioresearch Institute and discovers Anna is the one in charge, he gives her a hug and says, “It’s been too long.” Although he’s not convinced that her project — “controlling people’s brains” — is a great idea.
Dr. Anna Yoon is portrayed by Kelly Hu. The Hawaiian-born actress is known for her role son Arrow (China White), Being Mary Jane (Alana), The Vampire Diaries (Pearl Zhu), Army Wives (Jordana Davis), CSI: NY (Detective Kaile Maka), Marital Law (Chen Pei Pei), Nash Bridges (Insp. Michelle Chan), X-Men 2 (Lady Deathstrike, see link above) and Sunset Beach (Rae Chang), among others. Fun fact about Hu: She made her TV debut in 1987 as recurring character Melia on Growing Pains. NCIS: New Orleans airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CBS.
