In the Stairwell, the U.S. Air Force a cappella group, is competing on Season 12 of America’s Got Talent. They say a bet at the Academy provoked them to compete. They didn’t wow AGT judge Howie Mandel during their audition — he said he was “bored” — but the female judges (Mel B and Heidi Klum) loved the men in the uniform and the Air Force singers made it to the Live Shows.

For their Live Shows performance, In the Stairwell sang Fun’s 2012 hit “Some Nights” wearing camouflage fatigues. Mel B, who has mentioned on the show that she’s recently single, told In the Stairwell that they made her very glad about the fact of her single status. Mel described the group’s harmonies as “yummy” and admitted that she even likes their “awkward choreography.” Mel B isn’t the only one crazy about In the Stairwell either — America jammed the ballot box for the uniformed flyers and they expressed a very enthusiastic gratitude for the votes and the love. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
