PBS is celebrating the Fourth of July on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. Actor John Stamos (Full House, Grandfathered) will host the televised event which features performances by singers including country music’s Trace Adkins, The Voice Season 12 winner Chris Blue, and Laura Osnes, among others.
Osnes is the gorgeous 31-year-old Broadway star who is known for her roles in Grease (Sandy), South Pacific (Nellie Forbush), Anything Goes (Hope Harcourt), and Bonnie and Clyde (Bonnie), for which she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Osnes received her second Tony nomination for her performance in Cinderella (as Cinderella). Osnes is currently starring in Bandstand (as Julia Trojan), a musical about WWII vets who return to the States after the war and struggle with PTSD and survivor’s guilt, among other things. A Capitol Fourth will air on July 4 at 8pm on PBS.
