On World of Dance, while Jennifer Lopez told Ian Eastwood that he gives her the Michael Jackson vibes, she, and the other two judges NeYo and Derek Hough warned him and his troupe the Young Lions that this is a competition. Their audition felt like a performance, said Hough. Eastwood admitted that he and the Young Lions haven’t competed much together and promised to step up their game for the Duels. They didn’t know then that they would be involved in a three-way duel with Rouge and the legendary Jabbawockeez.

When not working with the Young Lions, Ian Eastwood choreographs for other artists, including singing sensation HAIM. There isn’t a lot of “dance content” in the latest HAIM video “Want You Back” (see below) — there’s a lot of walking — but the choreography is refreshing and captures the singing sisters’ quirky sensibility. They dance like normal people listening to music as they walk. World of Dance airs Tuesdays at 10pm on NBC, right after America’s Got Talent.
