Talking with Chris Hardwick host Chris Hardwick welcomes actress Connie Britton on the show on Sunday, July 16. She’s currently starring in the film Beatriz at Dinner with Salma Hayek and John Lithgow but much of the conversation will be about her past work. She’s ready for the task in answering questions about her days on Spin City, American Horror Story, Nashville, and Friday Night Lights.
Hardwick says lots of viewers wanted him to ask about that dance she did in the opening credits (about :22 seconds into trailer below). Britton tells a great story about working with Friday Night Lights director Peter Berg. After an actor delivered the dialogue of a script, he tended to yell more direction like “Tell her you love her,” which Britton says “creates this aliveness.’ After finishing one scene, Britton said she walked back into the kitchen and that’s when Berg yelled at her, “Do your stripper dance!” Britton says at the moment, she cursed Berg’s name and says, “I was like, this is so embarrassing.” Talking with Chris Hardwick airs Sundays at 11pm on AMC.
