Two of Michael Jacksons’ bodyguards during his final two years of life, Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard, wrote the book Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days. Their story has been adapted for the Lifetime TV movie Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland. The King of Pop’s relationship with his spokesperson/manager/business advisor Raymone Bain is included. The Georgetown Law grad was an advisor to President Bill Clinton in the early 1990s before Michael Jackson named her his personal General Manager and President/COO of the Michael Jackson Company (she was also on the Board of Directors) in 2006. Michael Jackson died in 2009.
In Searching for Neverland, Raymone Bain is portrayed by Holly Robinson Peete. She’s known for her roles on Mike & Molly (Christina), Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper (Vanessa Russell), and 21 Jump Street (Officer Judy Hoffs), among others. Fun fact: Robinson played Diana Ross in the 1992 miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream. Watch video below. Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland premieres on Lifetime on Monday, May 29 at 8pm.
