In the two-hour The Blacklist special episode ‘Dembe Zuma’, Red’s (James Spader) only allies will turn against him including a voice from the grave. That’s right, Kate aka Mr. Kaplan (Susan Blommaert) reappears and she tells Red “I know where the bodies are buried.” NBC promises that “Red’s day of reckoning is coming.” Meanwhile, the team gets a lead on Dembe’s (Hisham Tawfiq) whereabouts when Aram (Amir Arison) goes missing. Along the way, they cross paths with Dr. Sofia Gallup.
Dr. Sofia Gallup is portrayed by Paola Turbay. She’s known for her roles on Royal Pains (Dr. Marissa Caseras), The Secret Life of the American Teenager (Cindy Lee), True Blood (Antonia Gavilan), The Closer (Det. Mikki Mendoza), and Cane (Isabel Vega), among others. Turbay will appear next in Amazon’s crime drama Bosch based on the Michael Connelly novels (she plays DDA Anita Benitez). Fun fact about Turbay: She won the title of Miss Colombia in 1991, and was first runner-up in the 1992 Miss Universe competition (see below). The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 9pm on NBC.
#fbf ?? via @eltiempo hoy. Hace 25 años! WOW… Lo demás es historia. (Abajo en inglés para aquellos del norte que no conocen la carreta). ?????????? 25 years ago, 5 crazy people from around the world decided to elect me Miss Colombia 1991. It’s a huge issue in my country, and was even bigger during the 90’s when our Miss was a real icon. I was the ‘anti-queen’, everything but and waaaay to spontaneous. (That was the secret). I traveled the county and the world and have kept in touch with the essence of our people ever since. 25 years later I can say that being Miss Colombia has been one of the favorite jobs in my life. Being able to represent the women of my country and impact socially in a way that still persists, is priceless. ??
