The new sitcom Imaginary Mary is about Alice (Jenna Elfman), a beautiful and sexy public relations executive who falls for a divorcee named Ben (Stephen Schneider). The catch is — he has three kids and single Alice isn’t exactly a “kid person.” As she gets closer to Ben, she gets scared. That’s when her childhood imaginary friend Mary pops up. She’s an animated white furry creature who doesn’t want Alice to give up her single life.
Mary is voiced by Rachel Dratch. She’s known for her roles on Inside Amy Schumer, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (Wanda Jo), The Middle (Principal Barker), 30 Rock, and Saturday Night Live (various characters including Debbie Downer and Denise McDenna), among others. Dratch is also recognized for her roles in a number of Adam Sandler films including Just Go With It (Kirsten), Click (Alice/Alan), and I Now Prounce You Chuck & Larry. Imaginary Mary airs Wednesdays at 8:30pm on ABC.
