Apparently the Cowboys like being 11-2, even if the media clamors for change. Yup Dak Prescott may be embroiled in a quarterback controversy at your favorite website or radio station — where cries of “healthy Tony Romo” echo. But among the Dallas top brass Dak is in the driver’s seat. Because the rookie has earned it. Is Prescott not playing quite as well in the last three games? So what — count two of them wins and move on.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn’t even want to talk about changing quaterbacks. Jones told 105.3 The Fan: “I understand the question, but I don’t want to get into the scenario.” Then he obfuscated a bit, saying we’ll “know [it’s time for a change] when we see it.” But Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett was clear: “You can make it as simple or as complex as you want to make it. [But] It’s pretty simple for us. Dak’s going to play quarterback as we go forward.”
