R&B singer Michel’le narrates the Lifetime TV movie Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le. While she was teased for her Minnie Mouse talking voice, she wowed everyone when she approached the mic. With members of N.W.A., according to the Lifetime trailer, Michel’le (portrayed by Rhyon Nicole Brown) rose to stardom and simultaneously fell into a “tumultuous relationship” with Dr. Dre.
Dre is portrayed by Curtis Hamilton. Hamilton got his big break when he landed the role of Sophia’s Date in the 2013 horror film Holla II. Since then, he’s appeared on episodes of Rizzoli & Isles and Castle. Fun facts about Hamilton: He was born in Italy (his father owned an auto body shop) and then moved to the US when he was 4. Hamilton was raised in the town of Paducah, Kentucky and played college football at Western Kentucky University where he was the all-time leading wide-receiver. Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le premiere on Lifetime on Saturday, October 16 at 8pm.
