In the new TV series The Good Place, the protagonist is Eleanor (Kristen Bell), a woman who wasn’t known for being nice when she was alive — so she’s surprised to find herself in The Good Place. She needs to brush up on ethics so she gets a lesson from her angel-like mentor Chidi (William Jackson Harper). While Eleanor tries to be kind to neighbors, she runs into fellow dead woman, Tahani Al-Jamil.
Tahan is portrayed by Renaissance woman Jameela Jamil. The 30-year-old Brit is recognized in the UK as the former host of The Official Chart on BBC Radio 1. She’s worked as a model (she’s nearly 5’11” tall), she still DJs, and she’s launched her own clothing line, JAM by Jameela Jamil. The Good Place airs Thursdays at 8:30pm on NBC.
