Former Miss Houston, Rhonda Glover, was 23 years old when she met rich Texan oilman Jimmy Joste, who was 40. While Joste provided Glover with an extragavant lifestyle including a $10,000 allowance, Glover wasn’t satisfied with their relationship. She claimed Joste abused drugs and worshipped the devil. In 2003, Glover claims she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. In July 2004, she bought a gun and took shooting lessons.
Later that month, Jimmy Joste was found dead in his home. He had been shot 10 times. Rhonda Glover was found guilty of murder and was sentenced to serve 46 years in prison. Glover will be interviewed by Piers Morgan on Killer Women, which airs Fridays at 8pm on TLC. Morgan said that during the interview, Glover “displayed highly erratic and emotional behavior. I don’t think I’ve ever looked into more insanely demented eyes than when I pressed her on why she had done it.” He added, “The more animated she got with me, the more scary she seemed, and the more convinced I became that she is an absolute psycho.”
