In the Blue Bloods episode “Fresh Start,” while NYPD detectives Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) and his partner Baez (Marisa Ramirez) try to figure out why a cop has gone AWOL, ADA Erin Reagan-Boyle (Bridget Moynahan) is ridden with guilt after a cop, Officer Kenneth Nelson, is killed. The main suspect is a man she recently freed. When Erin offers her condolences to the dead cop’s wife, she receives a brutal slap across the face.
