Making his debut for the Fubon Braves in Taiwan, Joseph Lin — younger brother of NBA star Jeremy Lin — led the Braves in scoring. In a summer league contest at the Tapei Gynasium, Lin scored 19 points, with six rebounds, four assists and four steals in an 84-69 win. Lin is 6’1″ and shoots left-handed. Despite the 15-point margin of victory, the Fubon Braves had to mount a second half comeback to win.
13 of Lin’s 19 points came in that second half. Like his famous brother, a native Californian whose ancestry traces to Taiwan, the 23-year-old Joseph Lin prepared well for his journey East. Few players at his level get to shoot around with NBA stars in the pre-season, let alone win some shooting contests against one. That’s what happened with the Lin brothers here:
