The Seattle Seahawks have signed a contract extension with quarterback Russell Wilson. The four-year deal is worth $87.6 million. It includes a $31 million signing bonus and $60 million in guarantees. If all goes according to plan, Wilson will make $21.9 million per season over the next four years.
Wilson’s contract is not the highest in the NFL. His comes just under Green Bay Packers’ deal with Aaron Rogers, who averages $22 million per season. That’s the record for now, until the Indianapolis Colts’ Andrew Luck gets a new deal.
