Meagan Martin is the only woman competing in Kansas City for the American Ninja Warrior finals show on July 20 (8pm, NBC). Martin, a climbing instructor from Colorado, says people tell her it’s unfair that she has to go up against the guys. But she disagrees. Martin says what she likes about ANW is the fact that the men and women are on the same course. “It’s an awesome opportunity for women.”
Martin’s young female students tell her that they dream of becoming an American Ninja Warrior when they get old enough to compete, which is at age 21, btw. The Top 30, including Martin, will tackle the Kansas City Finals course, which includes the Salmon Ladder, Flying Shelf Grab, Body Prop and Invisible Ladder, on American Ninja Warrior.
