HBO’s new black comedy The Brink is about a military coup in Pakistan and the unlikely American trio that tries to prevent World War III. Tim Robbins stars as Walter Larson, the sex-crazed US Secretary of State. Co-star Jack Black plays Alex Talbot, a low-level diplomat in Islamabad. The third link is Zeke Tilson, a stressed-out Navy fighter pilot on an aircraft carrier in the Red Sea.
Tilson is portrayed by Pablo Schreiber. He’s best known for his roles as George “Pornstache” Mendez on Orange Is the New Black, as William Lewis on Law & Order: SVU, Demetri on Weeds, and Nick on The Wire. The 37-year-old Canadian also likes to perform in front of a live audience. He made his Broadway debut in the revival of Clifford Odets’ Awake and Sing!, which earned him a Tony Award nomination. The Brink airs Sundays at 10:30 on HBO.
