With Drones, the British band Muse snagged the #1 spot on the Billboard album chart from Florence and the Machine. It’s Muse’s first time in the catbird seat, having previously only seen it up close after hitting #2 with 2012’s The 2nd Law.
For some it’s a surprise that this is Muse’s 7th release. Time flies, of course. And the band, which formed in the early 1990s, lives up to its name, constantly inspired by the muse, apparently. Here are Muse’s first six releases, preceding their summiting Drones.
