Thousands of private, nude photos of celebrities were hacked on a cloud server and leaked online last year. Hollywood stars including Kaley Cuoco, Kate Upton, and Jennifer Lawrence were no exception. After “the fappening,” Lawrence boldly posed nude for Vanity Fair, saying she wanted to take back control. “It’s my body,” Lawrence said, “and it should be my choice.”
The UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is taking JLaw’s approach to a similar situation. An old boyfriend who Rousey refers to as “Snappers McCreepy” took naked photos of her. Before they were leaked, Rousey posed for nude pictures for ESPN. She said, “If it’s going to get out there, then I want it to get out there on my terms.” Rousey writes about the moment she found all the nude photos on McCreepy’s computer in her new book, My Fight / Your Fight.
