Noel Gallagher is best known as the former Oasis guitarist who can’t stand his brother (and former bandmate) Liam Gallagher. Noel is now the lead man of the band High Flying Birds. They just released their second album Chasing Yesterday and they’re kicking off a North American tour which includes an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 6 (11:35, NBC).
To get Americans riled up about the album and tour, Noel Gallagher sat down with Rolling Stone journalist Jason Newman. Newman claims the 47-year-old Noel “hasn’t quite reached ‘cranky old man’ status yet.” Hmmm. When asked if he had advice for Zayn Malik, the 22-year-old who just left One Direction, Gallagher said: “Fuckin’ get a good accountant because life is very fuckin’ long.” We don’t know when rock stars get officially old, but Noel certainly seems to have hit cranky.
