Baylor is now 3-21 against Oklahoma in the history of what can’t really be called a rivalry. Until today Baylor had lost 11 straight at Oklahoma. But Baylor, despite being on the road, positively smoked the Sooners, 48-14. They even came from behind to do it, so that if you looked at the last three quarters it’s even uglier–or more beautiful if you’re on the Baylor bandwagon. The score in the last three quarters was Baylor 45, Oklahoma 0.
Baylor QB Bryce Petty threw for 220 yards–to just one receiver! (That’s Corey Coleman–remember the name.) And Baylor did whatever it felt like doing. If Kansas State can topple TCU tonight and Petty can get his Bears to slice up the formidable K-State defense in their Big 12 season finale…who knows? Is Baylor, of all schools, going to the very first college football playoffs?
