Jeremy Lin had ten assists and just a single turnover in 27 minutes of action, as the Lakers beat the Nuggets 98-95 in their first pre-season game. New Lakers head coach Byron Scott singled out Lin in his post-game press conference for the guard’s composure and decision-making, noting that Lin executed the Lakers offense with aplomb, especially in the open floor and on pick and rolls. Lin was able to penetrate and kick to teammates for open threes–and also a mean dunk by Ed Davis. (Watch out for Davis.)
Lin’s only trouble was finishing. He shot 0 for 6. But that’s not something anybody in LA is worried about. Lin has proven that he can finish, especially using his strength around the basket.
