Daryl Hannah Has a ‘Heart Of Gold’

Neil Young made a splash with Jackson Browne’s ex Daryl Hannah in California this week. At least it wasn’t a 27-year-old Yoga instructor. Daryl Hannah–actress and activist–loves rock stars, and there really isn’t a bigger working rock star than Shakey, as Neil Young is affectionately known to intimates. Though it’s likely that former intimate Pegi Young, the musician’s soon-to-be ex-wife, uses “Shakey” in a less friendly tone than she once did.

The ink is just about dry on Young’s divorce papers, filed in August. But everyone knows the papers come after the affair. As far back as April Young and Hannah marched together (no, not a euphemism) in a Washington, DC protest against the Keystone XL pipeline. (The pipeline will come down into the states from Canada, just like Neil Young did.) Neil Young came down searching for a Heart of Gold. Pegi had one–and a helluva voice to boot. Maybe Hannah’s is 18 karat? Neil did sing he’d “keep searching” if he was “growing old.”
