Two of TLC’s most popular TV shows are My 600-lb. Life and Little People, Big World. So a show about obese little people losing weight isn’t a huge surprise. Big & Little is a docuseries that features two obese little people desperate to lose weight. In the series premiere, they meet fellow little person Allison Warrell, a certified physical trainer and bodybuilder who understands exactly what it’s like to be severely overweight and under four feet tall. When she was 35, she was 135 pounds at 3’11” tall. All that changed six years ago when Allison walked into a gym and met her coach Matthew. Now she’s helping other little people to lose the weight.
Before the show premiere, Allison posted a couple of interesting facts about herself including: She was born from average sized parents and has two average sized siblings — and that in 1994 she was featured in the National Enquirer as the World’s Smallest Cheerleader. Watch Allison cheer on her first two clients, Chuck and Ayanna on Big & Little which airs Wednesdays at 10pm on TLC.
I started like most people usually do … I was 35 years old, sitting around 135 pounds at 3’11” tall! Over weight & fed up! I had a lifestyle of drinking beer, partying and eating anything and everything I wanted. All my friends were used to “Allie the Party Girl” — pleasantly plump and the coolest LP (little person) you’ve ever met! I walked into the neighborhood gym one day after work, not knowing anything about fitness or exercise, just knowing I needed to make a change. At that moment, I had no idea the guy signing me up for my new membership would completely change my life- @team_mind_to_muscle After seeing the fat slowly melt off from pushing myself to the absolute brink in the gym on a daily basis, eating the proper portions and meals set out on my plan by my coach Matthew, I decided to compete in bodybuilding, Women’s Physique Division in 2014. 4 shows later and several trophies…1st place, 2nd place, 4th place and Best Poser Award Twice with many more to come. Now a Certified Personal Trainer I am teaching everything I have learned to help other Little People turn their lives around. Tune in to TLC May 24th at 10PM eastern for the premier of Big and Little to see me in action!

Back in the day I worked behind the camera on several tv shows, movies and commercials 7. I love live music- all types. Be careful you might find me singing out loud when I am doing my cardio sessions 8. In 1994 I was in the National Enquirer as the World’s Smallest Cheerleader 9.
