Bernie Sanders New ‘The Bernie Sanders Show’ Follows Seinfeld, DeGeneres Path
Sen. Bernie Sanders is experiencing a moment that every touring comedian hopes for. He sells out venues for his appearances, fans are crazy for him and especially for his best lines (which are honed and crafted to perfection for delivery). Now like Ray Romano, Jerry Seinfeld and Ellen DeGeneres before him, Sanders has turned his popularity into his own show. Sanders will still do the road trips — and there’s his day job in the Senate. But after Trump (The Apprentice) proved show business really does trump all, the Democrats under new leadership are broadcasting their vision in more modern ways. Sanders’ new show, called simply The Bernie Sanders Show, is on Facebook Live.

Sanders has been talking on camera with the filmmaker and environmental activist Josh Fox, New Yorker journalist Jane Mayer and other like-minded citizens to date. Comments from Sanders’ followers go mostly like this: “Bernie Sanders is the best. he’s putting everything into making it better for everyone.” The show, as the comment demonstrates, is rearching people already in Sanders’ wheelhouse. Next stop, expansion. The Bernie Sanders Show is broadcast live on Facebook — you can tune in here. There is no set schedule for the show, but the goal is to have Sanders go live frequently.
