On The Voice, Season 12, Alicia Keys and guest adviser DJ Khaled work with singers Hunter Plake and Jack Cassidy. The two young men are singing the Robyn song “Dancing On My Own.” It’s an emotional song about seeing an ex with another and trying to move on. Both Hunter and Jack give it their all.

After the performance, Gwen Stefani compliments both singers but when she looks at Hunter she says, “Hunter, you have to make a record.” Adam Levine says he was “completely drawn in” at the first note Hunter sang. Levine tells Hunter: “Your voice is one of those things that isn’t around enough, and we need more of it.” Levine announces, “Hunter took this for me, hands down.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
