In the season 2 premiere episode of 24 To Life ‘Shadow of Shame’, the cameras follow former doctor Tressie Montene Duffy during the 24 hours before she reports to prison. Duffy, CEO of West Virginia Weight and Wellness Inc. in Martinsburg, pleaded guilty to seven counts of aiding and abetting the distribution of oxycodone through her practice by leaving signed blank prescription orders for her unlicensed staff to use. In July 2016, she was sentenced to one year in prison. Her license was revoked and she is prohibited from reapplying for a license to practice medicine in the U.S.
Prior to her sentencing, Duffy was named in a complaint filed with the West Virginia Board of Medicine for "inappropriate sexual conduct." A former employee of the clinic accused Duffy of allegedly exposing her breasts to employees, and forcing the employee to “motor boat” Duffy's augmented breasts, among other things. Duffy did not face any federal prosecution over the alleged “motor boat” incidents. 24 to Life airs Tuesdays at 10pm on LMN.Most INTERESTING FINDS on Amazon]
