Some of the world’s most famous musicians are performing at the 2016 American Music Awards. Super Bowl entertainers like Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga will strut their stuff as well as Green Day and Sting, who’s receiving the American Music Award of Merit. Popular, but not yet a household name, Twenty One Pilots will take the stage too.
Twenty One Pilots is a duo from Columbus, Ohio – vocalist and keyboardist Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun. Their breakout record (their fourth) is Blurryface which includes the hits “Stressed Out” and “Ride”. Their single “Heathens” is featured on the Suicide Squad explicit soundtrack. And in October, they performed a melody of “Ride” and “Heathens” on Saturday Night Live. Twenty One Pilots is currently on its Emotional Roadshow World Tour, which ends in Perth in April 2017.
