President-elect Donald Trump talked about the Clintons on 60 Minutes, saying: “I don’t want to hurt them. They’re good people.” For anyone shaking their head, trying to figure out if reality still exists, you’re not alone. For Donald Trump to say Bill and Hillary Clinton are “good people” — it’s tantamount to someone like Rudy Giuliani saying that Islamic terrorist attacks on American soil didn’t happen until Obama became president. Oh, wait, Giuliani did say that. Yes, the man who was Mayor of New York City on 9/11 said that. But back to Trump’s assertion that the Clintons are good people.
Here is a 2-part sampler of what Donald Trump said about those same Clintons during the campaign.
Trump on Bill Clinton: “Bill Clinton was the worst abuser of women ever to sit in the Oval Office. He was a predator.”
Trump on Hillary Clinton: Hillary Clinton is a “pathological liar” who is “unstable” and “unbalanced” and “dangerous” while lacking “moral character.” The “legacy of Hillary Clinton [is] death, destruction, chaos and weakness. She’s a weak person.”
Otherwise, you know, good people — those Clintons.
