FOX is paying homage to the 1975 cult classic film The Rocky Horror Picture Show with a 2016 TV movie, The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do The Time Warp Again. In the original film, ex-delivery boy Eddie is portrayed by Meat Loaf. In 2016 Adam Lambert takes on the rock-n-roll role. Blue-tongued groupie Columbia was originally portrayed by Australian actress Nell Campbell. In 2016, it’s Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford (You Can’t Take It With You, Kinky Boots).
Annaleigh Ashford is known for her roles on Masters of Sex (Betty DiMello) and Smash (Lisa McMann), and in Chris Rock’s 2015 film Top Five (Michele), and Rachel Getting Married (Quick Stop Cashier). Ashford is also recognized for her roles on stage. She made debut in the 2007 Broadway musical Legally Blonde (Margot) and then took over the role of Glinda in Wicked in 2007 at the legendary Gershwin Theatre. The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again airs Thursday, October 20 at 8pm on FOX.
