First Defense Nasal Screens entrepreneur Joe Moore turned down a $4 million offer from Robert Herjavec for his whole company when he appeared on Shark Tank in 2011. When Moore first started his presentation, the Sharks seemed unimpressed. But when Moore started talking about the need for clean air on a global basis and how some international NGOs were interested in big purchase orders of his FDNS, all the Sharks perked up.
After Herjavec's takeover offer failed, Moore accepted a deal from Mark Cuban, Kevin O'Leary and Daymond John for 30% of the company. First Defense Nasal Screens are currently available online direct to consumers. A pack of 7 sets the Nasal Screens costs $9.98. A 12-pack (84 sets) sells for $99. FDNS is also available on Amazon -- but Amazon orders will ship only in the U.S.
