The TV series The Exorcist is about the Rance family who live in the suburbs of Chicago. Wife and mother Angela Rance (Geena Davis) is the first to hear the voices in the walls of their home. She’s convinced the demons want her teenage daughter. Her husband Henry gets spooked too.
Henry Rance is portrayed by Alan Ruck. He’s known for his TV roles on The Middle (Axl’s boss Jack Kershaw), The Whispers (Executive Director Alex Myers), Greek (Dean Bowman), Spin City (Stuart Bondek), and Mad About You (Lance Brockwell), among others. Ruck is also well recognized for his roles in the films Twister (“Rabbit”), Speed (Stephens), Young Guns (Hendry William French) and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (Cameron Frye). Ruck made his acting debut in the 1983 prison movie Bad Boys with Sean Penn and Ally Sheedy (Carl Brennan). The Exorcist airs Fridays at 9pm on FOX.
