On the TV game show The $100,00 Pyramid with host Michael Strahan, Shark Tank investors Barbara Corcoran and Daymond John will compete against each other, and actor/dancer Alfonso Ribeiro will compete against celebrity chef Mario Batali.
After graduating from Rutgers University and working at a stromboli restaurant near campus, Batali attended Le Cordon Bleu in London and then apprenticed with Chef Marco Pierre White at the Six Bells pub. After three years in London, Batali moved to New York where he worked at the Italian restaurant Rocco’s before opening Pó in 1993. He got his own show on the Food Network, Molto Mario, which aired from 1996 to 2004. Batali has opened more than 20 restaurants including Del Posto and the marketplace Eataly in Manhattan. The $100,000 Pyramid airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
