Mark Peterson, the creator of the gold panning kit Gold Rush Nugget Bucket, pitched his business on Shark Tank and found gold in an investment with Robert Herjavec ($60k for 25 percent). Herjavec will visit Peterson on Beyond the Tank. It’s the first time the two have met face-to-face after filming Shark Tank. “I was sweating bullets,” says Peterson on his Gold Rush Nugget Bucket blog.
Peterson wanted to hire a social media expert, David Hyslop, to manage the digital marketing and branding of the company, but also wanted Herjavec’s blessing. Hyslop was hired. According to his LinkedIn account, Hyslop has been working with Gold Rush Nugget Bucket since October 2015. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon where he was on the cheerleading team (2010-2013). Who doesn’t want a cheerleader promoting their brand? Beyond the Tank airs Fridays at 8pm on ABC.
