In the 2010 film All Good Things, New York City real estate mogul David Marks (Ryan Gosling) is suspected of killing his new wife Katie McCarthy Marks (Kirsten Dunst) when she disappears after their wedding. A series of suspicious deaths leads a cop to Marks. All Good Things is based on the true story of suspected murderer Robert Durst who said he liked the film and met with the director, Andrew Jarecki. Their meeting resulted in the riveting 2015 HBO documentary miniseries The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst.
In the film, David’s longtime friend, writer Deborah Lehrman (based on Susan Berman, who was also murdered) is portrayed by actress Lily Rabe. The native New Yorker is known for her roles on American Horror Story (Sister Mary Eunice McKee), The Whispers (Claire Bennigan), and The Good Wife (Petra Moritz), among others. She will appear next in the HBO movie The Wizard of Lies about Bernie Madoff who will be portrayed by Robert De Niro. Rabe plays Andrew Madoff’s fiancee, Catherine Hooper. All Good Things will premiere on LMN on May 25 at 8pm.
