In the NCIS: New Orleans episode "Collateral Damage," the team investigates the murder of female Navy lieutenant Rebecca Peterson (Katie Savoy). She died during a covert visit to Army General Owen Matthews’ hotel room. The General says the lieutenant was already dead before he could call 911. Pride isn’t buying the General’s story.
General Matthews is portrayed by John Getz. The veteran actor is known for his roles on Homeland (Joe), Nikita (Senator Ed Chappell), The King of Queens (Mr. Dugan), The West Wing (Congressman Mark B. Sellner), and Joan of Arcadia (D.A. Gabe Fellowes), among others. Getz is also well-recognized for his roles in the films Trumbo (Sam Wood), Jobs (Paul Jobs), The Social Network (Sy), Zodiac (Templeton Peck), The Fly (Stathis Borans), and Blood Simple (Ray), among others. NCIS: New Orleans airs Tuesdays at 9pm on CBS.
