Selling magic on Shark Tank isn’t easy. (Ask Rick Smith, Jr. who pitched his Vegas show in Season 3.) But Rick’s lack of success in the Tank isn’t keeping Vegas magic duo Jarrett & Raja from trying their luck. Their advantage is that they’ve already had a show in Vegas (at The Regent Hotel in Summerlin). They’ve already been on America’s Got Talent and they’ve worked with big shows including Cirque du Soleil. So why do they need a Shark?
Jarrett (The Magic) & Raja (The Piano Man) are pitching a production company which will include Finding Magic, a monthly performance held in their studios. Working with non-profit organizations, Finding Magic will invite homeless and at-risk kids to watch a free performance and to participate in a magic workshop. “Magic and music are great for helping kids to build self-expression skills and imagination,” says Raja. The first Finding Magic show will be held April 30 in conjunction with Olive Crest, an organization dedicated to preventing child abuse, to treating and educating at-risk children, and to preserving the family. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
